What a super busy month we’ve had. Following on from our farm trip to TinyTott farm in September our lovely teacher Nicki bought in her pony Lucky to visit. Most of the children had a ride on Lucky in the car park out the back and thought it was fun that Lucky wobbled from side to side.
Then on October 15th Amina’s sister Farida came in to give us an insight about the Diwali festival. We saw some Indian costumes and special treasures. We then made Peda (a milk sweet) and got to eat it later too. Later in the day we also made our own crowns and decorated them using shiny glitter and gems. What a fun day we all had. Happy Diwali to all!
We rounded off the month with another fantastic Whanau evening to celebrate the arrival of spring. The children have been learning some new songs “Spring is here” and “The water cycle song” they performed these and couple of other favourites much to everyone’s delight. Well done Tamariki J Then we enjoyed a shared kai and Barbeque. Thanks so much for all of the fantastic support from our families. You make the centre the fun place it is to be today.
