Our space
Nestled in Hamilton, Curious Cubs offers a welcoming and child-friendly atmosphere. Our facilities are designed to inspire creativity and learning through play, complete with safe outdoor areas and playful indoor spaces. Experience a vibrant and nurturing setting where your child can thrive and embrace their natural curiosity.
We want children to feel relaxed and supported at our centres. When they do, it’s easier for them to learn, interact with others, sleep better and eat well—all of which contributes towards their overall wellbeing.
Our Rooms
Cubs & tigers
Our Cubs room caters for infants aged up to nearly 2 years old. This is a calm oasis in our centre with our precious Cubs being cared for by a dedicated primary caregiver.
Tigers is a room for toddlers ages 2 to 3.5 years.
It’s a fun, jam-packed room that combines singing and dancing, dramatic play, and other age-appropriate activities toddlers love. Our routines and boundaries help children develop appropriate behaviour so they feel safe and secure.
Lions
Our Lions room is for children 3.5 – 5 years old.
Older children will have a specific time during the day to undertake focused activities with an emphasis on school readiness.
This programme aims to promote independence and self-help skills, so children are better prepared for school. Getting dressed, getting their lunch box, knowing where their stuff is and getting ready for school are all essential skills for children.
Play-based activities that emphasize literacy and numbers also help them become ready for school.
Indoor + outdoor flow
This helps create a settled atmosphere that encourages children to connect with nature. We also have sound-absorbing walls, ceilings and furniture; this is important as babies and children are more settled in quiet environments.
With good indoor and outdoor flow, the children’s can safely move around the centre with ease while being fully visible at all times so the Teacher knows what they’re up to!
Routines
Routines can also assist children and babies in feeling calm and settled. As they move through the day, routines give children a sense of time so they know what to expect next.
Each of our centres has a routine that incorporates structured and spontaneous activities, quiet time, meals and toileting.
